Daniel Coronel, Country Consultant

Daniel Coronel has more than six years of experience in public policy related to climate change, forest conservation and biodiversity management (with an emphasis on agricultural and forestry business models and strategic planning and financing). With studies in economics, he has a master's degree in Environmental Management. Daniel has been technical advisor to the German Cooperation (GIZ) in Peru in the area of ​​native biodiversity management and sustainable forest management. In addition, he has been Deputy Coordinator of the GCF Task Force and has accompanied the coordination in Peru in strengthening spaces formed by government, business and civil society to support forest conservation policies such as the Regional Amazon Commonwealth, the Bosques del Norte Platform, and the Coalition for Sustainable Production. He has also contributed to the design and implementation of commitment and incentive tools at the sub-national level to involve companies and producers with forest conservation. He also serves as Deputy Coordinator for Peru of the Tropical Forest Alliance. Currently, with the GCF Task Force, he is the national advisor for the Climate Pathways project.
