During the GCF Task Force 2019 Annual Meeting last week in Caquetá, Colombia, the member states elected Amazonas, Brazil as the 2020 GCF Chair! The governor of Amazonas, Wilson Miranda Lima, will lead the Executive Committee and host the 2020 Annual Meeting in Manaus, the capital of Amazonas.

“The concept of sustainability must be based on three pillars: environmental, social and economic. That will be the basis on which the discussion panels will be advanced in the annual meeting of GCF in 2020, in Manaus,” said Eduardo Taveira, Environment Secretary of the State of Amazonas.

Congratulations, Amazonas! See you in Manaus in 2020!
