On August 19, 2020, the Secretariat of Environment and Natural History of the State of Chiapas (SEMAHN), in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy Mexico as implementing partner for the State during the financing period of Window A of the GCF Task Force, carried out the closing event of the project "State Investment Plan Moving Towards Sustainability: Resilient and Low-Emissions Chiapas." This event showed Chiapas's progress toward sustainable rural development, integrated management of the territory and inter-institutional coordination in the protection of forests, and the reduction of deforestation and forest degradation. As part of the welcome to this virtual event, the State presented the following video in which Governor Rutilio Escandón and Secretary of the Environment MarÃa del Rosario Bonifaz share interesting data and information on the implementation of this project financed by the Government of Norway through the United Nations Development Program.
El pasado 19 de Agosto de 2020, la SecretarÃa de Medio Ambiente e Historia Natural del Estado de Chiapas (SEMAHN) en colaboración con The Nature Conservancy México, como socio implementador del estado durante el periodo de financiamiento de la Ventana A del GCF Task Force; llevaron a cabo el evento de cierre del proyecto "Plan Estatal de Inversión Transitando hacia la Sostenibilidad: Chiapas Resiliente y de Bajas Emisiones." En este evento se mostraron los avances para Chiapas en torno al desarrollo rural sostenible, al manejo integrado del territorio y a la coordinación interinstitucional en la protección de los bosques, la reducción de la deforestación y la degradación forestal. Como parte de la bienvenida a este evento virtual, el Estado presentó el siguiente video en el cual el Gobernador Rutilio Escandón y la Secretaria de Medio Ambiente MarÃa del Rosario Bonifaz, comparten interesantes datos e información sobre la implementación de este proyecto financiado por el Gobierno de Noruega a través del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo.
