The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) REDD+ Team in Geneva, Switzerland has been selected to manage and implement the Government of Norway’s 2015 pledge of NOK 200 million (approximately USD 24 million) to the Governors' Climate and Forests (GCF) Task Force.

The aim of Norway’s pledge is to support innovative GCF Task Force tropical forest states and provinces to meet the commitments of the Rio Branco Declaration by developing/updating jurisdictional strategies for REDD+ and low-emissions development and by catalyzing transformative financing opportunities.

More information about how the pledge will be administered is available in the Norway GCF Pledge: Framework Document, available for download in English, Spanish, French, Indonesian, and Portuguese
